    Two Things:
    – The Mom knows that Strychnine looks somehow similar to sugar?
    – They store their Strychnine in somehow similar amounts like sugar? In the kitchen?

Desperate people resort to desperate measures…. 😉

You mean the ones that didn’t get poisoned yet? I don’t think this can hold true otherwise.

“Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows, and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.”

Well, we don’t celebrate thanksgiving in my country but we have a similar one when the whole family meet together. It’s the usual “So what are you doing now?” small talk. It’s either branched out into another small talk or awkward silent.

Also my parents keep saying “He/she family, be nice to them!” Yes I am trying to be nice BUT I DON’T KNOW THEM!

That’s why there’s football on the TV.

Sigh. I miss my grandmother’s pooltable-full of excellent cooking, especially her blackeyed peas & stewed tomatoes.

And miss my grandmother too! Sniff!

My family kind of has the opposite problem– my mom can’t get us to shut up long enough to eat.

And here is where I get to brag that my family actually GETS ALONG WITH EACH OTHER.

As in, I’m expecting someone to bring Cards Against Humanity, and stuff. Although, maybe not, given that the generation after mine has gotten to the “actually understanding language and stuff”, maybe Cards Against Humanity is going to have to go on hiatus for the next, say, sixteen years until THEY’RE old enough to play.

    Unless they ALL fall asleep…

I always enjoyed that both my mom and dad did equal amounts of cooking around Thanksgiving. Less stress on one person. But then, our THanksgivings were actually a big family reunion with around 100 people in a rented hall and every family brought a dish or two. Was fun!
