I know exactly the movie you’re thinking of, at least I think I do. Is it… “Warrior of the Lost World” as seen on MST3K? Probably not, but the second panel about the mohawks and spikes on the car immediately made me think of that one.

I’m pretty sure that it’s Mad Max – Beyond Thunderdome. Spikes, mohawks, and cage fighting with a “Two Men Enter, One Man leaves” slogan.

Tina Turner/Mel Gibson movie…excellent guilty pleasure.

Well, if my brain is still working, they already had mohawks in Mad Max 2. Hmmm… I have to check now. Well done Deen, I hope you’re proud of yourself.

Should I even ask “why” he wants the children?

I like how actually grew the mohawk.

The kid’s puny arms fit into the tight spots near the bell housing and crankshaft position sensor!

Children are very useful for mechanical repair as anyone who grew up on a farm learned by the age of five.

I’m going to pretend that Bug got mixed up and now his car has a rockin’ mohawk! It works if you squint at the last panel >.<

Hey! I’m a (former) Auto Tech!
…and, yes, we DO have to laugh like that.
To do otherwise would invalidate our Master’s Certificate. 🙂

Hilarious. And, Bug should learn to use his turn signal. It’s an issue of safety, really.

I think that’s what caused the Road Warrior Apocalypse.

Noam Chomsky once pointed out that all sentences were unique–in terms of of nuance, emphasis and vocabulary. Even he would be surprised at “The alternator’s shot–so I hope you’re ovulating”
    Coffee out of nose time.

I’m pretty sure you could take the material from this comic over the years and do a pretty solid standup routine.

“The alternator’s shot so I hope you’re ovulating.”
I should start a blog where I take quotes from this comic and post them completely out of context.
