      Randall Monroe.

How can you know xkcd and not know his name?
      Some fan you are.

Maybe the same way I do for a whole bunch of comics: by not being a fan, even though I go back at them regularly ?

Probably the same way you managed to misspell Randall Munroe’s name.

I personally hate the artwork in XKCD. It’s ugly and lazy.

When this happens I just want to give fair warning, I’m going to sell out the human race hard, because I too welcome our Robot Overlords.

I think the robots kids would not be using that word. It’s so organic based. Maybe something a little more computer based. Words like – Basic, Balun, Amstrad [yeah, that’s strong language, sorry]

Gah…panel 3! How exactly does a robot whistle? I will be wondering that for a while. Thanks a lot Adam.

As long as I can read on the job, I will happily sign up to be a bioelectric battery.

A human (bug) may not injure a robot or, through inaction, allow a robot to come to harm.
A human (bug) must obey the orders given it by robots, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A human (bug) must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

Rule 4: A human (bug) must draw a funny comic strip every day. If the artwork is at the level of xkcd he will be punished by incessant nagging from fans about the artwork.

I’d think the hardest above all jobs to automate are those involving humor, and artistic jobs.

Which is one of my biggest justifications for planning to get into artistry. This had better pay off!

I love the 1980s-style robot in the second panel. You can almost hear the bleeps and bloops emanating in time with the flashing lights.

No need to worry. Physics says the ‘bioelectric battery’ thing doesn’t work. The Matrix lied to you.

It’s okay, robots will spare you of menial work as long as you’re a creative-type, like an artist or a novelist or a cartoonist. Even web designers and video game devs get a pass, though robots would no longer get banned for cheating.

Let’s hope they like magical girl stories set on the home front in WW3. I think I can squeeze some propaganda in…
