I recently saw an article from someone in the business — bras are basically the most complicated article of clothing to size and stock, with something like 10 components that can all vary meaningfully in size. If the mass-market styles don’t fit you, go to a specialist place.
I can attest to that too…It doesn’t help that every women’s clothes maker has their own sizes…sometimes multiples for different styles. It doesn’t help that I am short and wide… More than once I have given up and just gotten men’s clothes.
Recommendation: Any reasonably tight skirt will show your manhood; I prefer inexpensive skirts alternately called “gypsy”, “peasant”, and “bohemian”, and trust me, after you try it, you’ll never want to go back to wearing 501 jeans again. Oh, right, and sizing those skirts is pretty easy.

Great comic, Adam! The confounded expression on bug’s face on the first panel totally sold me. The second looks like he starting to get his head in the right gear (Though girl bug’s expression seems to convey shes as confused as he is!) By the third i was expecting bug’s eyes to be bigger.

My freshman year, I was invited to a Halloween party. I walked in the front door and was greeted by a 6’4 dude built like a basketball player and dressed as a hooker – heels, fishnets, black miniskirt and a purple tube top. Walked right back out and didn’t come back. Thanks for inspiring that flashback.
The terms are similar, but distinct. “Transsexual” refers to someone experiencing gender dysphoria and desires going through some amount of transition to a physical presentation more in line with their gender.
“Transvestite” refers to someone who may or may not have gender dysphoria but only dresses as the opposite sex, though the term itself is considered offensive by some. “Crossdresser” is a more accepted term to use.
“Transgender” is often used as a more accepted term for the former, but is also used more generally by some to include the latter.
Eh, I think in this case, it would be best to stay away from issues of gender identity altogether, since that’s not the essence of the comic — this is about the technical difficulties involved. You’re right that “transvestite” is often considered outdated and at derogatory.
“Crossdresser” is a nice, neutral word without a lot of baggage or implications about the motives of the person doing it.
Oh, my remark about gender identity wasn’t directed to you, Splox; it was again towards Deirdre.
There was also a slight typo in my first post; I was trying to say “at worst, derogatory”, since its connotations can range with different people, like you said.
I think the shift happened when people started using the term to refer derisively specifically to trans men and women, and especially with the shortened version, “tranny”. The original meaning of the word was innocent enough, but nowadays it kind of leaves a bad taste in some people’s mouths.
Not to lecture you further, though I appreciate your willingness to adapt your content to changing times/standards! Just, if you were curious as to why it fell out of style, that’s part of it.
Somehow, without even understanding numbers, zombie women’s clothing sizes still manage to be extremely complex. I would explain it, but even I, with my immense zombie-based knowledge, don’t know how it works.
My mother once pointed out to me that the only difference between name-brand jeans and cheap Walmart jeans is that the name-brand ones claim to be a smaller size.

Try having a chest too large for bras! My G cups are a huge hassle. I’m making an appt with my dr to discuss reduction surgery.

Guess I’m just old. In my day “transvestite” wasn’t a derogatory word. I’ll change it to “crossdresser” later.
