Given the name, I was surprised to find my submission was not well received.
The problem is that ‘ribs’, in the sense of ‘eating ribs’, refers to eating the meat off of the bone. You do not eat the bone, itself.
You said so yourself: time heals all wounds, except for -severed- appendages, terminal diseases, and death. https://www.bugmartini.com/comic/third-times-the-harm/ A broken rib falls under none of those categories.
The New England Journal of Barbecue would be a better bet.
